Tom grew up on a farm outside of Batesville, Ind., where he developed a love for creativity and the humanities. He’s a 2010 graduate of Herron School of Art and Design where he gained real world experience working alongside visiting artists. While still in school, he completed a series of large-scale commissions for Community Health North, Riley Children’s Hospital and a private commission for Christel DeHaan.
As multimedia manager, Tom works on making sure Indiana Humanities is looking our best online and off. He is focused on increasing our visual presence through video, photography and graphics. His previous job experiences have had him handling dynamite, transforming parking lots into gardens and leading a marching band through downtown Indianapolis.
Tom and his wife, Jenna, are first-year beekeepers, front yard gardeners, and have a cat named Kat. You can find him most weekends riding his bike, playing old-timey base ball (no gloves!) and building Pinterest projects with his wife.
