A native Hoosier, Hailey was born and raised in Hammond, Indiana. She moved to Indianapolis to pursue her love of literature, the arts and the humanities at Butler University. During her time as a student, she fostered her passion for community through serving and volunteering with many Indiana based nonprofit organizations including The Julian Center, ArtMix, The Indianapolis Children’s Choir and The Theatre at the Center. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arts Administration.

An event planner by nature, Hailey is passionate about creating experiences and cultivating opportunities for Hoosiers to connect with each other and their surroundings in meaningful ways. Prior to her work at Indiana Humanities, Hailey curated events that connected Indianapolis residents to the city socially, civically and professionally through her role at IndyHub. In addition to her work with Indiana Humanities, Hailey currently supports the new works of female and minority playwrights in Indianapolis through her work as a board member of Storefront Theatre of Indianapolis.

When she is not reading or working, Hailey can be found at local arts performances around Indianapolis. She is a big fan of mystery novels, double features at Tibbs Drive-In Theater, the Halloween season and her two cats, Loki and Luna.
