An emotional exhibit created by the artist who traveled around the United States for over four years capturing stories of people who have been touched by hunger. The exhibit will open with a free reception that is open to the public on August 28, 7-10pm (Hors d’oeuvres & cash bar). The artist will present a lecture prior to the reception at 6pm in the North Campus at the University of Saint Francis located at 2702 Spring Street. The exhibit will run through September 26th. Give a Little Feed a Lot Mobile Pantry with Jewel-Osco – Sept 9
We are holding a mobile pantry from 7AM to 10AM in the parking lot of the Jewel-Osco store in Dyer, Ind. Last year we served 1,000 people at this event and are looking to feed the same, if not more, people this year. Anyone in need of food assistance from Lake or Porter Counties can attend. All that’s needed is a valid photo ID. Volunteers and donations are welcome. Please contact the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana for more details.
