Event Details

Join Benjamin Clark of IUPUI Arts & Humanities Institute as he demonstrates how legacies of white supremacy shape many of the social issues facing our country today, including relationships to the environment.

Looking at how the power of the state shapes and enforces environmental policy, Benjamin helps audiences see how, due to systemic racism, Black and Brown communities have been disproportionately negatively impacted by pollution, climate change, and natural disasters.

After this presentation, Benjamin will open up space for participants to discuss environmental racism and its effects on their lives and communities.

This event is free and open to the public. The event is located in Science Center, room 137. Visitor parking is available north of the Horner Recreation Center and behind Parker Auditorium.
