Doug Peconge, the community programming manager for the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma’s Fort Wayne Cultural Resources Extension Office, will speak about a favorite pastime of the Myaamia (Miami) People—lacrosse. Peconge crafts traditional lacrosse sticks and has a deep knowledge of the game to share.

Attendees may visit the exhibit Meehkweelintamankwi Aanchsahaaciki: Our Forced Removal for free before and following the presentation. The Whitley County Historical Museum will host the exhibit through September 30, 2022.
