Event Details

As part of its “Making Black History Accessible” programming, the Black Legacy Project of Wayne County Indiana presents a free day at the Wayne County Historical Museum.

Attendees will be able to experience Our Legacy: 1800 and Beyond, the museum’s first-ever exhibit celebrating the contributions of Black community members. The free museum day marks the last day the exhibit is available to the public, as it closes after nearly a full year.

The Black Legacy Project will host a panel discussion at 1 p.m. on the free day, followed by a closing reception, all held in the museum’s accessible Community Room.

For more information about the day’s activities, email the Black Legacy Project of Wayne County Indiana at BlackLegacyWayneCo@gmail.com. For accessibility information regarding the museum, contact the Wayne County Historical Museum at office@wchmuseum.org.

This program received support from an Indiana Humanities Action Grant.
