Event Details

Nicole Cushing is a writer of dark, weird fiction (often accompanied with a side dish of humor). Based in southeastern Indiana, many of her books evoke the grim strangeness of Midwestern life.

Her debut Mr. Suicide (2015) won the Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in a First Novel. Her novellas Children of No One (2012) and The Sadist’s Bible (2016) received nominations for the Shirley Jackson Award. Her novel A Sick Gray Laugh (2019) was named to LitReactor’s Ten Best Horror Novels of the Last Decade list and the Locus Recommended Reading List.

Author Nicole Cushing will read from and discuss her work. The event is being held in conjunction with Halloween festivities.
