Indiana Humanities will host two grant workshops for nonprofits seeking funding for public programs in history, preservation, literature and other humanities disciplines.

The 90-minute sessions will take place at the Hobart Branch of the Public Library in Hobart, Ind., (Nov. 2) and the Knox County Public Library in Vincennes, Ind., (Nov. 30). Indiana Humanities staff members George Hanlin and Leah Nahmias will introduce participants to Indiana Humanities programs, resources and grants.  The workshop will provide information about the types of activities it funds and how to write a successful grant proposal. Attendees will also learn about grant makers across the state and enjoy ample time for questions and brainstorming.

Each session runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and includes lunch. The workshops are free and open to the public, but registration is required.

Indiana Humanities offers a competitive grants program that awards funding to Indiana nonprofit organizations, schools and other tax-exempt community groups. Funding for Indiana Humanities’ grant programs is provided by the National Endowment for the Humanities.
