Smithsonian’s Voices and Votes: Democracy in America Exhibition (Rushville)

The Smithsonian’s traveling exhibition, Voices and Votes: Democracy in America, will continue its tour of Indiana at the Love Community Center in Rushville where it will be on display from July 4-Aug. 16, 2026. The exhibition gives an in-depth look on America’s democracy and brings discussions about democracy to local communities. Host organizations will present a companion exhibition and series of programs in their communities during the exhibit’s six-week visit.

The exhibit will tour the seven small towns across Indiana during the Semiquincentennial, which commemorates the 250^th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Learn more about the tour and locations here.
