The Skin I’m In

Ali Birge followed our “30 Poems in 30 Days” feature last month for National Poetry Month and was so inspired, she sent us a poem of her own! Thanks, Ali, for following along on the poetry posts!

The Skin I’m In

The skin I’m in
Ain’t right
Too tight

The skin I’m in
Too thin

The skin I’m in
Ain’t mine
Don’t shine

The skin I’m in
Keep me from twinklin’

I wanna

But I can’t do that
In this old skin
