Summer Reading with Indiana Humanities

Join Indiana Humanities in the months of July and August for a variety of ways to participate in summer reading through our #INSummerReads campaign. Features include emoji-based book recommendations through our Indiana Author LitBot on Twitter, a chance to win prizes by posting reviews of Indiana books on Goodreads, stories about what Hoosier libraries are doing for summer reading across the state, a poetry series on pandemic and protest from Indiana Poet Laureate Matthew Graham and more!

Follow along as we promote summer reading activities from across the state with the #INSummerReads hashtag on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Be sure to follow us @INHumanities as well as on our Indiana Authors Awards channels (@INAuthorsAwards).   

Get a book recommendation from our Indiana Author LitBot on Twitter. 

Want to read a book that will make you 😂 or 😭? Simply tweet an emoji to our Indiana Author LitBot on the IAA Twitter page (@INAuthorsAwards), and our bot will respond with a book recommendation from an Indiana writer. We guarantee that the LitBot will be able to find you a recommendation for even the most obscure of emojis! 

Post reviews for books by Indiana writers on Goodreads and win prizes! 

What’s summer reading without book challenges and awesome prizes? In the months of July and August, we challenge you to post a Goodreads review for books by Indiana writers. Once you’ve posted your review, simply fill out this quick form, and the first 100 respondents will win a $10 gift card from a Hoosier indie bookstore.

We want to highlight the amazing summer reading programs that are happening in libraries across the state this summer.
