Thanksgiving is only a few days away, and Hoosiers across Indiana will be spending their Thursday afternoons digging into turkey and all the fixings. It’s a season of connection, as we gather with family and friends to reflect on the many blessings we’re thankful for.
But while catching up with loved ones is good, we also know that sometimes conversation stalls. Whether it’s another heated debate between Uncle Ed and Uncle George over who will slice the turkey this year or one of Aunt Linda’s never-ending stories about the cruise she went on last May, all Hoosier families are in need of some new, fun and unpredictable topics of discussion!
Do not worry…it’s Indiana Humanities to the rescue with a vital public service for the holidays: conversation starters! In the spirit of good fun and good conversation, we’ll be tweeting ALL-IN-themed questions to help you spark surprising and insightful discussions with your loved ones.
The questions, organized around the eight ALL-IN themes of explore, discover, read, remember, participate, connect, reflect and dream, will be tweeted throughout the day on Thursday. Here’s a sneak peek of a few of the questions:
- What’s on your Indiana bucket list?
- Do you know your neighbors? Who’s the best neighbor you’ve ever had?
- Whose advice do you trust the most?
A couple checks of Twitter (@INHumanities) are all you need to play along! We guarantee you’ll learn something new and feel a deeper connection to your family and to Indiana by the end of the day.
Happy Thanksgiving, Hoosiers!
