Poetry Prompt #9

It's National Poetry Month, so what better time to write some poetry? Here's a prompt to get you writing from Indiana's own Sheila McDermott-Sipe.

For inspiration:Ballad of Birmingham” by Dudley Randall

Prompt: Find an event in the newspaper and personalize it. That is, take the objective writing in the newspaper article and transform it into a personal account of the event. Imagine the people involved – what might they say, how might they feel; use imagery to recreate the event described in the newspaper account.
