A few months ago, Dr. Katherine Loflin (a key researcher in The Knight Foundation’s Soul of the Community report), gave a keynote address in Dubois County called “Placemaking: The Creation of Loved Places and Why It Matters.” She talked about attachment drivers in communities (aesthetics, social offerings, openness, etc.) and how residents can support placemaking.
