National Poetry Month – Featuring Indiana Poets

April is National Poetry Month and Indiana Humanities is honoring this special month by recognizing a different Hoosier poet every day in April.  These individuals reside all across the state, ranging from Evansville to South Bend.

By sharing the poems from these talented individuals, we hope to showcase the richness and diversity of poetry as well as the talent that hails from our state.

Don’t forget to visit our blog every day starting April 1 to keep caught up on which Indiana poet is featured and to read a selection of their work.  For more ways to celebrate National Poetry Month or to learn more about it click here.

Great promotion for poetry. is there a chance that this will be an every Month event to showcase the diversity of poetry in Indiana?
From rhyme in time to rows of prose?

Will there be a poem published each day–beginning today–that we can post on our FB walls and forward to friends, etc.? Great way to promote poetry. I get a “Poem a Day” in my email, but was hoping I could access the poems featuring Indiana poets beginning April 1st. Thank you!
