These are very clever names! Thank you for sharing with us.
Thanks for the comment, Wendi!
Boy, after reading several of these clever and enticing names, I think we just may have to come up with something better than ours here in Shelbyville-Shelby Co: Bookclub at Horizon Center (library sponsored, meets at county’s senior center), Bookclub at the Library, and Teen Bookclub (library sponsored, meets at local book store). Ho hum.
Our book club had been meeting for several years when we decided that we needed to come up with a name. After several suggestions and voting on the names we officially became the “Who Picked This Book? Book Club” in 2009. The name always generates a laugh and everyone can identify with being the one who’s monthly book pick gets criticized by the majority.
That’s a good one, Yvonne!
We have been meeting since January 2010. We meet the first Thursday of the month at 2:00 – 3:00 pm. The title of our book club is “Off The Shelf Reading Group”. We are looking into having a Cook Book Club, but haven’t found a name yet.
