Recently, we received a note from Kevin Walsh, a TV sports reporter/anchor for Comcast SportsNet New England.  Kevin was in town to cover the Super Bowl and received a heartwarming Super Kids, Super Welcome card in his Indianapolis hotel room. Now, he’s trying to find Breanna, 11, from Indianapolis, to give her a present in return.

Kevin wrote: “Her card could have ended up in the room of 17,999 other visitors, but somehow it found me.  You will be interested to know that I am a published author, and a huge fan of ‘refrigerator-like art.’  With two young girls of my own, we have a lot of that where I come from.  What’s more, Super Bowl week was the same week that my second book, Follow the Dog Home, was released nationally.  Follow the Dog Home is very dog and animal centric.  I brought along one of my pre-released author copies that was signed by my fellow authors: my dad and 10-year-old daughter, Samantha.  I had a hunch I might bump into someone during Super Bowl week for whom the book would make a good gift.  I never could have imagined what waited for me on the nightstand, and I can’t imagine who I’d like to have that book more than my Super Kid, Breanna.  It’s been quite a search and it will be quite an ending for a lot of people who went the distance in rolling out the red carpet to the world during Super Bowl week.  I’m sure Breanna would love the book, and I’d love to return the kindness that she shared as part of Hoosier Hospitality.”

Breanna loves the Indianapolis Zoo, hippos, dolphins, lions and the color pink and has drawn her likeness as a self-portrait (see above, right). If you think you know Breanna, let us know!
