As Indianapolis hosts the U.S. Olympic team trials in swimming, Diversity in Aquatics will hold a preview of When Everyone Swims, a new feature-length documentary that explores the history of racial disparities in swimming, why drowning has become a public health crisis and how people of all backgrounds can have a healthy relationship with water. The documentary presents insights from numerous athletes, including several Olympic swimmers, as well as scholars who contextualize the historical subject matter. After the screening, organizers will hold a Q&A session with cast and crew.
