The Food Exodus Project

HealthVisions Midwest has produced The Food Exodus Project, a documentary that raises awareness about food deserts and barriers to food access within Fort Wayne’s underserved communities. The 40-minute film includes insightful interviews with community leaders and advocates, city officials and residents who live in food desert areas. HealthVisions Midwest will introduce the film at a premier screening on Wed., Jan. 26. After the screening, organizers will host a community conversation featuring a panel discussion and a question-and-answer session. The event will also include information tables with resources about food deserts and food insecurity.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, organizers are taking precautions for in-person attendees. Social distancing and masks are required. In-person seating is limited. Light refreshments will be individually wrapped and available to go. A livestream option is available.
