Event Details

Rasheeda’s Freedom Day tells the story of Miss Joanna Lenoir, a long-term resident of the Hillside neighborhood of Martindale-Brightwood, and her flight to Indianapolis with her mother (Rasheeda) to escape an abusive situation almost 60 years ago. The film is directed by Dija Henry of The Blue House and produced by the Harrison Center.

This event will include two screenings, at 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Seating is limited. This is a vaccinated-only event and face coverings will be required.
