Event Details

Join third- and fourth-grade teachers, along with interested members of the public, for the tenth installment of Indiana’s Historic Pathways’ workshop “Getting from Here to There.” Focused on southern Indiana history, this single-day workshop offers participants the opportunty to engage with expert speakers, develop lesson plans, and participate in a teacher-led panel discussion exploring innovative classroom learning ideas. The workshop’s subject matter aligns with Indiana’s academic standards and is especially ideal for teachers who cover Indiana history in their classrooms. In addition to exploring creative and exciting ways to teach this material, teachers will learn about new developments in their field, obtain curricular materials for the classroom, and network with other educators. Participants will leave the workshop with ideas for cross-disciplinary projects and lesson plans incorporating the workshop topics into the state curriculum.
