Do the Right Thing Film Screening & Discussion
Hosted by Herron School of Art and DesignJoin Herron School of Art and Design for a film screening and discussion of Do the Right Thing.
Event Details
The film Do the Right Thing is a rumination on black American identity told through topography, community, immigration, expressions of identity, belonging, and artistic expression. The themes of All That She Carried align well with the film, and bring forth the experience of Black Americans in an identifiable, contemporary setting.
Join us at Kan-Kan Cinema for a screening of the film, which will feature an introduction and post-viewing discussion led by Herron School of Art and Design students and local artist, Clayton Hamilton.
Note: This event is part of Indiana Humanities’ Advancing Racial Equity Community Read program.
