Books, Booze & Brains: Player Piano (Bloomington)
Hosted by Indiana HumanitiesJoin us for a conversation about Vonnegut’s Player Piano in conjunction with the Granfalloon!

Event Details
Player Piano is the first novel by American writer Kurt Vonnegut. The novel spins the chilling tale of engineer Paul Proteus navigating a dystopian world of automation partly inspired by the author’s time working at General Electric. The novel describes the negative impact technology can have on quality of life. The book uses irony and sentimentality, which were to become hallmarks developed further in Vonnegut’s later works.
