Event Details

From July 7 to September 24, the Swope Art Museum hosts the exhibit Art of the Adze: Bowl Hewing in Indiana. The exhibition, presented in collaboration with Traditional Arts Indiana, features more than 40 handcrafted bowls by artisans such as Bill Day, Keith Ruble and Blaine Berry, as well as the bowl makers they inspired. The exhibit tells the history of bowl making in the Hoosier State and puts the work of the bowl makers in context with other traditional arts.

The exhibit is open during the museum’s regular hours, Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
