Arab Indianapolis Film Screening and Discussion (Indianapolis)
Indiana Humanities invites you to join a community screening and discussion of the film Arab Indianapolis: A Hidden History.
Event Details
Arab Indianapolis: A Hidden History, an official selection of the 31st annual Heartland International Film Festival, features IUPUI professor and historian Dr. Edward E. Curtis IV as he explores stories of Arab Americans across Indianapolis through food, health, religion and more. Following the screening of the hour-long film, a community discussion will be facilitated by Indy Reads CEO Ruba Marshood.
Indy Reads students are from all over the world. Therefore, any time they have a means to celebrate and teach about different cultures, they would like to do so in their community/bookstore space. This event will provide the Indianapolis community a way to celebrate Arab American Heritage month and a space for open discussion and understanding of all people.
