Event Details

Afrofuturism is a framework to critique the present that’s rooted in Black history and culture as it dreams of possible futures. For the Kheprw Institute, having an Afrofuturist lens represents a public statement of the attitude and mindset of the organization and community, about creating desired future states in the present by constantly reimagining the work and the way the community moves through the world.

Join artists from the Alkhemy cohort (Café Creative), Januarie York, D Del Reverda-Jennings and Maurice Broaddus as they discuss their roles and work as Afrofuturists, the role of art in creating desired future states, community wealth-building and what it means to create vivid pictures of what the world could look like.

To join this virtual conversation, register at the RSVP link above.
