Join fellow building-lovers for an exploration into the history of the McEwen-Samuels-Marr Home, the current site of the Bartholomew County Historical Society. From its architectural legacy to the intriguing stories of the families who once called it home, this house offers a window into the past that continues to shape Columbus today. This talk will not only dive into the history of the house itself, but also discuss the critical role of historic preservation in protecting cultural resources. Preserving buildings like the McEwen-Samuels-Marr Home ensures that the unique stories of local residents live on, providing a deeper understanding of the community—and inspiring the public to protect these irreplaceable pieces of our shared history for future generations. Talk led by the Bartholomew County Historical Society’s Curator & Collections Manager, Jared Anderson.

The program takes place in the Cleo Rogers Memorial Library’s Red Room. To register (for either in-person on online attendance), click on the RSVP button above.
