Purdue University’s Asian American and Asian Resource and Cultural Center (AAARCC) joins with Purdue Libraries and the Purdue LGBTQ Center to host author Putsata Reang at the Purdue Student Union Board’s Books and Coffee event series. Reang, an award-winning author and journalist whose writings have appeared in various national and international publications, will discuss her memoir Ma and Me. Putsata was born in Cambodia and raised in rural Oregon. Her memoir explores themes of displacement, familial bonds, cultural and filial duty, coming out and queer love, and resilience through community storytelling activities.
The program takes place in the Purdue Memorial Union’s North Ballroom.
