Event Details
Indiana faces an urgent crisis: nearly one million Hoosiers, including working families, struggle to put food on the table. Food, Insecure: A Documentary That Hits Home, a powerful new 30-minute film, will be screened on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 7:00 PM at Kan-Kan Cinema and Restaurant in Indianapolis. The event will include a panel discussion exploring solutions to food insecurity and ways to create lasting change.
As a follow-up to the Emmy-nominated The Working Hungry, which sparked over 65 community screenings and statewide conversations about food insecurity, Food, Insecure delves deeper into the root causes of hunger and highlights the real challenges and stories of Hoosier families. The new documentary pairs compelling personal stories with expert insights to inspire collective action for a more food-secure Indiana.
