Join Indiana Humanities and local humanities scholars in the southwest quadrant of Monument Circle. Bring a lunch and listen to brief presentations from local experts on Indiana history and culture. Every Thursday from Sept. 7 through Oct. 19, stop by to reflect on fascinating Indiana topics, learn something new, and leave with a spark of appreciation for all that makes Indy unique. Presentations will be about 20 minutes long with plenty of time for discussion and Q&A after.
Recovering Etheridge Knight with Norm Minnick
Talk Description: This talk will discuss the process of recovering Knight’s unpublished and out-of-print works for The Lost Etheridge: Uncollected Poems and the forthcoming book On Etheridge Knight for the University of Michigan Press’s Under Discussion Series. Poems will additionally be shared.
Bio: Norman Minnick is the author of three collections of poetry and editor of several anthologies. Most recently, he is the editor of The Indianapolis Anthology and The Lost Etheridge: Uncollected Poems of Etheridge Knight. His poems and essays have been published in The Georgia Review, The Sun, World Literature Today, The Writer’s Chronicle, Oxford American, and New World Writing, among others.
