Valparaiso University and Porter County Public Library invite you to attend the inaugural Dunes Lit Fest. This community event will celebrate reading, writing and creativity by highlighting national award-winning and local children’s authors on the main stage. Families of all ages are welcome!

- Browse vendor booths
- Enjoy tasty treats from local food trucks
- Participate in exclusive book signings

- Participate in a book swap
(Bring a gently used book and trade it out for a different story—children’s books only, please. Don’t have a book to trade in? That’s okay—every child leaves with a free book.)
Schedule
All scheduled events take place on the main stage on the West Lawn at Valparaiso University. Each author will be available for book signings for 30 minutes directly following their scheduled session. (Note that times listed are Central Daylight Time.)
10:00–10:30 a.m. : Welcome address, story booths open (plus Story Corner with PCPLS at the PCPLS booth)
10:30–11:00 a.m.: Beacon and Blaze Love to Read
11:00–11:30 a.m.: Barb Rosenstock
11:30 a.m.–noon: Rob Harrell
Noon–12:30 p.m.: Rebecca Mullin
12:30–1:30 p.m.: ScribbleMonster musical concert
1:30–2:00 p.m.: Carole and Jerry Weatherford
2:00–2:30 p.m.: Local authors panel (plus Story Corner with PCPLS at the PCPLS booth)
2:30–3:00 p.m.: Molly Idle and Juana Martinez-Neal
3:00–3:30 p.m.: Kenneth Kraegel
3:30–4:00 p.m.: Last call for book signings, vendor booths, food trucks
