Arab Indianapolis Film Screening and Discussion (Indianapolis)
Indiana Humanities invites you to join a community screening and discussion of the film Arab Indianapolis: A Hidden History.
Event Details
Arab Indianapolis: A Hidden History, an official selection of the 31st annual Heartland International Film Festival, features IUPUI professor and historian Dr. Edward E. Curtis IV as he explores stories of Arab Americans across Indianapolis through food, health, religion and more. Along with the screening of the hour-long film, attendees are invited to join for a meal of local Middle Eastern cuisine and discussion hosted by the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging office at the Indiana University School of Dentistry.
The IU School of Dentistry believes in building a multicultural environment that embraces the uniqueness of all individuals and fosters a team environment. This screening and conversation are essential in helping increase awareness about other narratives and how they shape who we are today. If you’d like to attend, please email DSDEIB@iu.edu by April 24. The program will be held in room DS115.
