Progressive Preservation Talks: Joyner and Ostroff with First Christian Church Tour

Landmark Columbus Foundation presents a “Progressive Preservation Talk” with Louis Joyner, AIA, and Daniel Ostroff, featuring information about Columbus’s iconic First Christian Church.
Joyner, a Columbus-based architect, will share his work and involvement with the First Christian Church’s Save Our Tower project. Ostroff, head of acquisitions and research at the Eames Institute and consultant to the Eames Office, will talk about the connections and history of Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen–designed furniture at First Christian Church.
The program begins at Helen Haddad Hall with a reception at 1:00 p.m. followed by the public talk. After the talk, at 3:30 p.m., participants will head across the street for a tour of First Christian Church and a discussion about the Save our Tower project. The program wraps up with a concert by Lisa Lohmeyer on the church’s historic Aeolian-Skinner organ.
