Event Details
Join us for a book discussion of NY Times best-selling novel “The Year We Left Home” by Jean Thompson, a mesmerizing, decades-spanning saga of one ordinary American family. Stretching from the early 1970s in the Iowa farmlands to suburban Chicago and across the map of contemporary America, the novel follows the Erickson siblings as they confront prosperity and heartbreak, setbacks and triumphs, and seek their place and happiness in a country whose only constant seems to be breathtaking change.
Free copies of the book are available now at the library for registered participants (yours to keep!). Register online at https://nafclibrary.libcal.com/event/7834295. “The Year We Left Home” was chosen as part of the One State / One Story program, inviting Hoosiers to engage deeply with a book as a part of a statewide conversation.
