Lexi manages the National History Day in Indiana program and serves as affiliate coordinator for the state, helping connect students and teachers with the program and hosting statewide contests each spring.
Lexi graduated from Ball State University with degrees in Social Studies Education and History and was first introduced to National History Day in Indiana in college when she served as a contest judge. From that first judging experience, Lexi saw the amazing historical research and student learning that the program fosters. After graduating, she started her career teaching middle and high school social studies in Indiana. She taught history, government, geography, and sponsored Model UN. In 2023, Lexi became the affiliate coordinator for National History Day in Indiana. From the beginning, Lexi has seen the impact the program can have, and is passionate about supporting students, teachers, judges, and communities who want to engage with NHDI.
Lexi spends her free time exploring central Indiana’s various walking and biking trails, attending concerts and comedy shows, and unwinding with a cozy book or video game. She loves to explore the state she has called home since she was 8 and is always brainstorming for her next trip.
