Indiana’s Historic Pathways will host a virtual workshop for teachers (also open to the public) to highlight the Buffalo Trace, a historic path through southern Indiana carved by bison and used by Native Americans and early settlers. Scholars and other experts will share the history of the Buffalo Trace, exploring topics related to Native Americans, the Indiana Territory and the Underground Railroad. An interactive teacher panel will discuss ideas on how to incorporate the information into classrooms using hands-on projects and activities.
