Join the Museum at Lassen’s Resort as Dr. Ezekiel Flannery presents “Traditional Food Cultures of Northwest Indiana.” Dr. Flannery will share the ethnobotany (study of how people used locally available plants) of the Calumet Region. He’ll discuss native vegetation, the diet of the Potawatomi and the early Europeans’ influence on the foodways of northwest Indiana. The program is offered in conjunction with a free museum admission day sponsored by the South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority to kick off National Travel and Tourism Week.

Because of limited capacity, registration is required to attend Dr. Flannery’s presentation. Click on the RSVP link above to register. Note that this program takes place on Central Daylight Time.
