Purple: Bridging Political and Interpersonal Divides
Hosted by JCC of IndianapolisAttend a screening and discussion of the short movie Purple and envision what a healthy public debate on fault-line issues might look like.
Event Details
A poll taken after the 2016 election, surveying thousands of people in all 50 states, found that 16 percent of respondents had stopped speaking to a family member or close friend over politics. This finding suggests the unraveling of 50 million relationships.
In an effort to reverse this trend in Indiana, a group of community partners, including the JCC of Indianapolis, Congregation Beth-El Zedeck, the Center for Interfaith Cooperation, and Civic Renaissance will present a free screening of the short film Purple (blue and red = purple) followed by a moderated conversation.
All are welcome.
