The motto of Kendallville, Indiana, used to be “The world takes what Kendallville makes”—a reflection of the city’s rich history of manufacturing and production. To celebrate the city’s material heritage, Experience the Heart of Kendallville will host an Antiques Roadshow–style event. Residents are invited to exhibit and discuss their treasures from Kendallville’s past. During the event, local historian Terry Householder will lead educational walking tours of downtown Kendallville, telling stories of historical buildings and former residents and highlighting preservation efforts. Free food and drinks will add to the festivities.
