Event Details

For 39 years Historic New Harmony has invited thousands of elementary schoolchildren to learn what life was like in New Harmony, Indiana, in the early 1800s. At Heritage Artisans Days, students experience 19th-century history through interaction with historic interpreters that present how their professions and roles were an integral part of sustaining this community during the early stages of New Harmony’s founding.

This year’s Heritage Artisans Days runs from April 12 to 14. Activities take place between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. CDT. While school groups are a key audience, the public at large is also invited to attend. Public admission costs $10 for adults and $5 for children age six and above.

For more information, contact Historic New Harmony at harmony@usi.edu or 812.682.4488.
