The library will distribute free copies of the book and will offer several related programs, including a presentation on Washington’s spies, a talk about Henry County’s own “founding fathers,” a screening of excerpts from the Ken Burns documentary The American Revolution, and more.
The library will kick off Henry County Reads during an all-day celebration on October 1. Residents are invited to visit the library’s main circulation desk or the bookmobile to pick up their free copy of 1776, learn about associated programs, and enjoy cupcakes.
