Event Details

The City of Bloomington’s Council for Community Accessibility (CCA) is a volunteer group that promotes awareness of the challenges faced by people with disabilities and works to develop solutions to problems of accessibility in the community. Each year the CCA hosts an annual event to make the larger community aware of the need for systemic change in how society addresses accessibility and can support people with disabilities. This year the CCA will sponsor a community-wide reading and discussion of About Us: Essays from the Disability Series of the New York Times.

The discussion takes place in person at the Monroe County Convention Center and online via Zoom. Registration is required. To register for either of the formats, click on the RSVP link above.

For more information, contact Michael Shermis at cca@bloomington.in.gov or 812.349.3471.

This program received support from an Indiana Humanities Action Grant.
