Event Details
The New Castle–Henry County Public Library is sponsoring Henry County Reads, a community-wide read of 1776 by David McCollough. The library will distribute free copies of the book (pick up yours at the main circulation desk) and will offer several related programs.
At this event, Darrel Radford of the Henry County Historical Society will discuss the people who helped shape Henry County’s earliest days, including the pioneers, civic leaders, and visionaries whose leadership, perseverance, and dedication laid the foundation for the communities we know today. Through stories, historical records, and local insights, Radford will explore the lives and legacies of Henry County’s “founding fathers” and the lasting impact they had on the county’s growth and development.
Whether you’re a lifelong resident, a history enthusiast, or simply curious about local heritage, this engaging presentation offers a unique opportunity to connect with Henry County’s rich past.
