Event Details

George Ironstrack will speak about the impact of forced removal on the revitalization of the Myaamia language and culture. Ironstack serves as the assistant director (and director of the education office) at  the Myaamia Center at Miami University of Ohio. He regularly researches and writes about Myaamia history. Examples of his work can be found on the Myaamia community history and ecology blog,  Aacimotaatiiyankwi.

Attendees may visit the exhibit Meehkweelintamankwi Aanchsahaaciki: Our Forced Removal for free before and following the presentation. The Whitley County Historical Museum will host the exhibit through September 30, 2022.
