Media pioneer Cathy Hughes, founder and chairperson of Urban One, Inc., is the featured speaker at the Madam Walker Legacy Center’s 40th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Celebration. Hughes will expound upon the importance of the Black community having a voice of its own and beyond as a people, especially amid a pandemic and social injustice. The program will feature a 30-minute one-on-one conversation with Hughes and Madam Walker Legacy Center president Kristian Little Stricklen. In addition, the center will induct Hughes into its Walk of Fame during the event.

The event will be held virtually. Registration is free and available at the RSVP link above.
