Arab Indianapolis: A Hidden History, an official selection of the 31st annual Heartland International Film Festival, features IUPUI professor and historian Dr. Edward E. Curtis IV as he explores stories of Arab Americans across Indianapolis through food, health, religion and more. Following the screening of the hour-long film, a community discussion will be facilitated by Hiba Alami, the inaugural director of the Indiana Muslim Advocacy Network.

The Phoenix Theatre dedicates itself to bolstering dialogue that explores the social, political and cultural issues of our time; and champions inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility for all. Telling the stories of the unheard voices has always been at the top of their agenda throughout their 39-year history. They are committed to dismantling systems of oppression and nurturing a more inclusive society. Learn more about the organization at http://www.phoenixtheatre.org.
