Arab Indianapolis: A Hidden History, an official selection of the 31st annual Heartland International Film Festival, features IUPUI professor and historian Dr. Edward E. Curtis IV as he explores stories of Arab Americans across Indianapolis through food, health, religion and more. Following the screening of the hour-long film, a community discussion will be facilitated by IU Professor of Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures Iman Alramadan.
The Indiana University Center for the Study of Global Change is hosting this event to complement work they have done through their Muslim Voices project. Muslim Voices is dedicated to promoting understanding and dialogue between Muslims and non-Muslims. The event will be held at the IU Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology.
