The Reitz Home Museum welcomes historian Randy Mills for a talk on the history of the Underground Railroad in southwest Indiana. Mills’s presentation will feature stories of courageous abolitionists, determined freedom seekers, and local lawmen and will explore unexpected connections that reached far beyond Indiana. Afterward, the museum will host a reception and open its new exhibition featuring the Reitz family’s 1861 Civil War–era flag.
