History meets hip hop under the stars.
Join La Porte County Parks and Recreation for a special Hamilton Trivia Night and Movies in the Park event. This free public program celebrates America’s 250th anniversary with a fresh, modern take on the nation’s founding story.
Trivia begins at 7:30 p.m., followed by a screening of Hamilton at dusk.
Before the film, attendees can take part in a live Hamilton-themed trivia experience led by Purdue University Northwest professors Dr. Joseph Cochran and Dr. Yu (Yo) Ouyang. Participants will play in teams as they explore the real people, events, and ideas behind the musical through an engaging and interactive format designed for a broad public audience. No prior knowledge of history is required.
Teams are encouraged to pre-register for a chance to participate in the trivia experience and to be entered into a door prize drawing. Space for trivia participation may be limited, so advance registration is recommended (use the RSVP button above).
Please note that Hamilton is rated PG-13 and is geared toward a teen and adult audience, which may differ from typical Movies in the Park programming.
Guests should bring blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy an evening of music, history, and community.
