Project Archaeology Educator Workshop

Elkhart County Parks and the Elkhart County Historical Museum invite educators to a daylong workshop to learn how archaeological inquiry can serve as a way to teach history, social studies, and STEAM subjects.

Event Details

Project Archaeology is a national heritage education program designed to help teachers introduce archaeology to their students and program audiences. Elkhart County Parks and the Elkhart County Historical Museum are hosting a daylong Project Archaeology workshop to help local educators discover how archaeological inquiry can serve as a way to teach history, social studies, and STEAM subjects.

Participants will take home Project Archaeology: Investigating Shelter, a $50-value curriculum guidebook with nine comprehensive lessons. They will also receive instruction from a recognized Project Archaeology coordinator and interact with local experts working in archaeology.
